Ralph News, baby!
BONGO BEAT INVADES TORONTO NOV 19 + GRAMMIES!

Nov. 10th, 2010

Hi Everyone

It's been a fantastic year for Bongo Beat and we're ending it in grand style.
Here's what's going on...

BONGO BEAT NIGHT
INTERNATIONAL POP OVERTHROW FESTIVAL
Friday, Nov 19, The Rivoli, Toronto

NOTE: Ralph & Plunt NEW times!!

For the first time ever, Bongo Beat brings the fun of its yearly legendary Cavern Club Liverpool shows to Canada. We've got 4 acts ready to rock The Rivoli. All sets are 20-25 minutes.

9:30pm - KEVIN KANE (Grapes of Wrath)
- Kevin is now based in Toronto and immediately after his set he's off to The Horseshoe down the street - where The Grapes of Wrath are headlining the same night! Pop craftsmanship at its best.

11:00pm - PLUNT
- Montreal's cowpunkindierock quartet are led by girl drummer/vocalist Peeps G. (the Cruddz) with Kevin Komoda (Rational Youth & Pest5000) on guitar, Ryan Eugene Newman on bass (The Panic), and Brian Arsenault (Strawberry) on guitars. Singalong choruses galore!!!

11:30pm - RALPH
- Label boss Ralph Alfonso has not headlined Toronto since his Harbourfront show in 2001. He last headlined The Rivoli in 1996. The all-star RALPH band will include Dave Rave, Mark Foley, and Jack Pedlar (Teenage Head) on drums. All out garage rock jazz and pop!

12:00pm (midnight) - DAVE RAVE
Fresh from US Dates with Bruce Springsteen and Joe Gruschecky, and a year of non-stop touring in Italy, UK, USA and more - Dave Rave will end the night with a rock'n'roll hi-energy party in his first appearance in Toronto in almost 3 years. Expect pure pop perfection from the man they call Canada's Nick Lowe.
