TREAT ME LIKE DIRT

Book Update

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we are running a little behind in getting this book to print due to various delays along the way (including the loss of our original designer) which is not unusual when you are dealing with a 382 page book.

The book has now been designed by myself, who, as some of you are aware, ran the original Crash 'n' Burn club, wrote some of the earliest stories about the Toronto scene for Bomp and New York Rocker, and still manage The Diodes to this day; so you will understand the love and care I am personally putting into this project.

The book is worth the wait as we have page after page of previously unseen photos (yes, the photos are throughout the book) and an incredible inter-connected story of the Toronto scene (and related) from before, during, and after 1977. There are stories and revelations in here that even I am reading for the first time - that's how good a job author Liz Worth has done in getting everyone to talk about their experiences.

We are currently in the very very final stages of proof reading and indexing and hope to have it to the printer within the next week and finished copies roughly 3 weeks after that (so we're looking at shipping the pre-ordered copies towards the end of October/beginning of November).

The book will be available worldwide via my distribution partners in Canada (Outside Music), USA (Burnside Distribution), UK (Proper) and Germany (New Music Distribution) in addition to Amazon worldwide. In the Toronto/Hamilton area; the book will be available in various indie bookstores. We will have more news about distribution as soon as we have it all confirmed.

Please note: we are only printing 500 copies of the first edition.

Only pre-orders will receive the bonus DVD of vintage 1977 videos assembled by Henry Martinuk (including some rare Crash 'n' Burn footage from my own archives).

Again, I thank you for your patience and your support of this historical document.
We are all working very hard to make sure everything is as perfect as it can be and I can't wait
to get it to you and hear your reactions.

If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
