They Say Paris Isn't Friendly

They say Paris isn't friendly
But who are they anyway
Digging through the books
Shakespeare and Company
And who would believe me
Here under some gargoyle's nose
God bless the French
They may not wash as often as me
But that's ok
I will kiss them anyway
Going up the Eiffel Tower
elevator yesterday
Did you smell it?
Fabergé
Did you see her
Red beret
Square purse, polka dot gloves
And me
Going the other way
Saint Germain de Pre
Raise your baguette high
And so much wine to choose from
Will I fall asleep
With a smile on my face
I love you Paris
When I wake up to the new day
Wrapped in the arms of
A strong café
