Sook Yin Lee
Zulu Records, 1996
|
The second solo CD by this MuchMusic VJ. I mostly had to assemble
and colorize the artwork of noted comics artist Chester Brown. This
is the complete front cover image, prior to being trimmed.

Pointed Sticks
Part Of The Noise
Zulu Records, 1995
|
Compilation CD.
This image had to be scanned from an old magazine and colorized in Photoshop.
The photographer, Stephen Macklam, was their manager at the time and now
handles Joni Mitchell, The Chieftains, etc. All these Zulu re-issues were a
labour of love for all involved.

Chris Field
HMP Records, 1997
Chris is a real Anglophile musicoligist. I took all the photos using my old
70s Pentax screw-mount cameras and lenses. I don't take too many photos any
more as everything I shoot looks like it's from the 60s and/or 70s and not
necessarily what people want any more. It's a very specific look and it's
great when a client gives you a specific agenda and complete control in
accomplishing it. You really have to see all of it to get the full impact.

The Modernettes
Get It Straight
Zulu Records, 1995
|
Compilation CD.
Again, I had to restore and colorize old photos and stuff. I've since gotten
to know guitarist/singer Buck Cherry (real name: John Armstrong and now a
columnist for The Vancouver Sun) as we both dig the work of comics artist
Jim Steranko.
